Saturday mornings are fabulous – it’s the first morning of the week that we can go out for a delicious brunch after a slow and lazy morning. Now they are even more fabulous because my local patisserie just introduced a delicious vegan menu! I gathered some of my lovely friends for a meal and I wanted to share the photos with you.
BBQ weather is upon us so it’s perfect time that we perfect a vegan gluten free burger patty recipe. I’m often asked what vegans grill on the BBQ so I’m happy to share this recipe with you all.
Looking for something quick and easy for tonight’s dinner? This chilli garlic tofu recipe is fast and delicious.
Winter….. not my favourite season of the year but what I do like about it is that I can prepare lovely casseroles and one pot meals.
Growing up in Croatia where winters can be minus 10 degrees Celsius (soooo cold) my mum often made casseroles. I remember her making a delicious mustard casserole with onions and potato (and a protein source that shall remain nameless) and on a cold day like today I just had to recreate it in a vegan version.
This mustard tofu casserole is super easy. Preheat the oven, place a few ingredients in a pot and voila – a hot and moorish meal ready in no time.
A tasty and light vegan gluten free macaroon recipe, using dark organic chocolate chocolate to sweeten the deal….
You know when you’re travelling and you’re STARVING and everything around you is meat and bread and milk and you’re about to pass out in malnourished agony, and your friend takes you to a vegan restaurant? That’s the feeling I had when I entered Nishta restaurant in Zagreb and took a gander at the menu. There I tried a sensational raw gnocchi which I recreated as soon as I got back home. +
My husband hates eggplant. There is nothing I can do to get him to eat eggplant. I’ve tried it in stir fries, on pizza, in soups – you name it. No go.
And then one day I remembered the way my mother makes her BBQ eggplant with pesto and I thought – I could give this a go!
When I was vego I loved French Toast (or pofezne as we call them in Croatia). What’s not to love – bread, fat and sugar. Mmmmmmmm. Now that I am vegan I thought this was a meal I would have to say farewell to forever. It wasn’t until I discovered The Vegg that I realised there may be a way…..
I am so blessed to live in Australia, where we have a plethora of wonderful vegan restaurants. Melbourne is my favourite place to visit because I know I will never go hungry. Yup, I love food. And in Melbourne that love is cultivated to nth degree.
Ungaro Raw is the relatively new kid on the vegan block. They opened late 2013 and have been serving vegetarian, vegan, glutenfree and raw dishes to hungry healthy Sydney folk ever since. I only just tried it myself but I’ve been twice in one week soooo…. Here’s my honest Ungaro Raw review for y’all.
