Pura Veda is a blend of unprocessed seeds and ancient grains. It is designed to provide you with the right amount of protein, fibre and fats in every mouthful. Serve it as a muesli, as a topping on desserts and baked treats or you can snack on it when you need an antioxidant boost.
This was my first encounter with Pura Veda and I wasn’t sure that to expect. I opened the bag and saw all this goodness: sunflower kernels, sesame seeds, raisins, sesame seeds, millet, pumpkin seeds, linseed, poppy seeds, chia seeds, amaranth. I actually couldn’t wait to try it.
I served Pura Veda in a bowl with rice milk and agave syrup and had it for breakfast. I’m a fast eater and this meal had to be chewed slowly, but I enjoyed the pace. Eating slower than usual made me more conscious of the flavours, textures and taste of each bite.
After my meal I felt full for ages. I’m very keen to start having this daily as my breakfast. I’d also love to try to make unbaked muesli bars so I can take them with me on the days when I am running around.
Would I buy Pura Veda? Yes, most definitely.
